Market Trends:
The mutual fund trends in the United States of America show assets in the range of $10.4 trillion. This is the largest assets under managements in the world. These assets are 48% of the total $21.8 trillion assets in the whole world. There are a variety of factors that influence the investments in the mutual funds. One of the factors is the ability of the mutual funds in assisting the investors to achieve a very wide range of financial objectives. In the United States of America, there is a growing dependence on bonds, stocks and interbred mutual funds which reflects the desire of the investors in meeting their long term financial goals. The people of the United States of America use the mutual funds as tools to provide them a very high degree in competitiveness and liquidity.
Mutual Fund Assets:
The stock fund assets in the United States are close to 57 percent of the total mutual fund assets. This has been between 50 to 60% since the year 1997. The only exception to this was in the year 2002. The domestic funds that invest mainly in the stocks of the United States, account for 44 percent of the total assets of the mutual fund industry. The international stock funds invest mainly in foreign organizations and account for 13% of the total assets. The money market funds account for 23%, while the bond funds account for 14% of the total assets. The hybrid funds also have a 6% share in the United States mutual fund market. |
